Magnolia Electric Co. main-man, Jason Molina, last visited these shores as recently as November 2006 in support of the Fading Trails album, playing beautiful, intimate acoustic shows that spellbound all those lucky enough to catch them.

Now, at long last, comes the full band tour, something that many folks have been wanting for so long, & something that many (including me!) believed may never happen. Whilst losing none of the beauty of the solo performances, Jason Molina in band incarnation is something else altogether – passionate, dramatic & raggedly rocken, a live show from Magnolia Electric Co is both cathartic & explosive, with Jason’s band providing the depth & flourish his remarkable songwriting demands.

Following on from a recent appearance at the Dirty 3 curated All Tomorrow’s Parties & extensive UK/European touring, Magnolia Electric Co play two club shows in Australia before heading off on 40+ date US tour in support of the Sojourner 4 CD box set, which is out August 7 on Secretly Canadian.
