Speaking out against racism, queerphobia, capitalism, fascism, and all things close-minded, Downtown Boys’ live shows are awe-inspiring and invigorating with a relentless and infectious energy befitting of their riotous lyrics.

Lead singer Victoria Ruiz is known for her truly captivating presence and with influences such as Fugazi and Bruce Springsteen, the band’s sax-fuelled live performances are can’t-stop-talking-about-it powerful, igniting a mix of catharsis, empowerment and outright fun among their audiences.

Like the socially conscious groups of years past, from Public Enemy to Rage Against the Machine, Downtown Boys harness powerful sloganeering, repetitive grooves, and earworm hooks to create one of the most necessary musical statements of today.
