Amanda Blank
Australian Tour December 2009
Civil Society is proud to announce the solo tour of Phillys home grown vixen Amanda Blank. Having stunned or maybe just shocked Spank Rock audience with her tongue in cheek performances in 2008. Blank is coming back our away for her first ever solo Australian tour to heat up a few summer festivals.
Philly born and bred singer/rapper/performer Amanda Blank built up her status by taking over the local club scene with the 2006 EP ‘Blow’. Working alongside the likes of Spank Rock, Blank provide vocals for the infamous female verse on their killer track “Bump”. Blank has also lent her voice in collaboration with artists such as Major Lazer, Diplo, NASA, Ghostface Killah, M.I.A, Aaron LaCrate, Teki Latex and most recently Yuksek with guest appearance on his hit “Extraball”.”
“When Might Like You Better” leaked earlier this year the blogosphere salivated over the glimmer of a much anticipated debut album from Blank and ‘I Love You’ didn’t disappoint. Having filled her little black book with producers, DJs and super fine artist over the years, Blank has collaborated on the album with likes of Lykke Li, Santigold, Diplo, Switch, XXXChange, The Cool Kids, !!! (Chk, Chk, Chk) and of course old friend Spank Rock.
Blurring the boundaries between Hip Hop and Electro, between decent and obscene she strutted her way across stages around the world and having teased us with her guest spots too many times its finally time for Australia to see Amanda Blank do her thing in the flesh.
Joining Amanda Blank on her Australian tour will be Delvin and Darko Balitmore Bass Connection
